Candidate for
Council Member; City of Elk Grove; Council District 4

Jimmie Johnson has been a community leader for over 15 years. Awarded the Congressional Bronze Medal for community service, and an active resident of Elk Grove, Jimmie Johnson has served on the Elk Grove Historic Preservation Committee (Vice Chair), Elk Grove Charter Commission, and Elk Grove Sustainability Element Climate Action Committee.

A member of the local Rotary, Jimmie Johnson also participates in a number of community service events in our town.

This past spring, Jimmie Johnson organized the Old Town Elk Grove "First Fridays" event which celebrates the Old Town area on the first Friday of every month. The event has brought a new awakening and economic boon to the area.

Before starting his private practice, Jimmie Johnson prosecuted criminal cases for both the United States Attorney's Office and California Department of Justice. He received his B.A. from Stanford University, and his J.D. from the University California, Hastings College of Law.

While at Stanford, Jimmie Johnson was a scholarship athlete on both the football and track teams. He earned the Academic All-American (Honorable Mention) award in football, and was PAC-10 Champion in the 200 meters race. Now, Jimmie Johnson plays in the CSD softball league and competes in local marathons + recently finishing the San Francisco marathon in 3 hours and 51 minutes.

With a history of community service, and a background in both law enforcement and private business, Jimmie Johnson will stop the escalating crime rate and bring jobs back to Elk Grove. Jimmie Johnson is excited for the opportunity to return Elk Grove back to the great town we all love.
