James Ramos a lifelong resident has served on the board of trustees since 2005. While serving on the board he supported and advocated for the successful passage of Measure M. This $500 million dollar construction bond is providing for new state of the art college facilities.

Today many working students have time constraints, the option of online courses fits well into their busy work schedule. James is a strong advocate for utilizing technology so that students will have better access to classes.

James Ramos has led the district with fiscal discipline, resulting in NO lay-offs while balancing the budget in these tough economic times.

James Ramos will continue to be a conservative voice when dealing with the districts multimillion-dollar budget.

James Ramos will encourage High School / College Concurrent Enrollment that will entice high school students to enroll in college classes, with the goal of obtaining an A.S. degree at the time of graduation.
