Background: I have lived in the Palm Springs area and worked as a teacher and administrator for the last 36 years. My 2 daughters were raised here and both graduated from the Palm Springs Unified School District. Two of my grandchildren attend a P.S.U.S.D. elementary school as will my youngest grandchild when she is ready for kindergarten. I recently retired in June after working for the P.S.U.S.D. for 35 years. I am devoted to sustaining and improving every aspect of our educational environment to nurture successful citizens of tomorrow. As we navigate these challenging financial times, I have the energy and wisdom, forged through experience, to build and maintain excellence for our youth. I would appreciate your vote to serve as a member of Palm Springs Unified Board of Education.

  • 16 years as the principal of Sunny Sands Elementary School
  • 3 years as the assistant principal of Landau Elementary School
  • 16 years as a teacher at Agua Caliente, Katherine Finchy, and Cielo Vista Elementary Schools
  • 1 year as a teacher at Saint Theresa School

Community Involvement: As an educator, parent and grandparent I have been involved in a variety of student and community activities throughout the District. Currently I am a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City. I was an active member of the Palm Springs National Charity League for 12 years and I am currently a NCL Sustainer member.
