I've lived in Fountain Valley for more than 20 years. It's a great place to raise a family. But we are facing problems in the future.

Decreased sales tax revenue contributed to a budget deficit of more than $5 million. This should have been avoided and will get worse. To face problems of tomorrow, we need new leaders, new ideas and a fresh vision for the city. More simply, we need to restore lost sales tax revenue and control our spending.

I've built a small business that provides local jobs and understand that small businesses are the economic core of a community. We need to support our small business partners. When Fountain Valley businesses succeed, the entire community succeeds.

Fiscal controls at City Hall will ensure that we never spend beyond our means. These controls, when combined with creating a supportive environment for businesses will ensure that we can improve public safety, maintain our roads, and increase educational opportunities without raising taxes.

My endorsements include Jim Kanno, Fountain Valley's first Mayor, and Congressman Ed Royce. I'm not a career politician and will happily comply with Fountain Valley's term limits.

Together we can keep Fountain Valley great for future generations.
