City Out of Business in 3 Years!
City of FV Out of Business in 3 years! $10 Million Deficit In 2013..."Inability to Operate"

At the May 5, 2009 City Council meeting, City Treasurer Elizabeth Fox, projected that FV will have a $10 million deficit for 2013-2014 fiscal year. Ms. Fox said it would, "deplete city reserves and the ability to operate." This puts Fountain Valley in danger of having to be annexed by Huntington Beach or Westminster.

Make Fountain Valley Business Friendly
Business owner Ahmad Shehadeh wrote to me: "Fountain Valley has a big issue in the retail industry. They have a lot of out dated regulations. I didn't even consider looking in Fountain Valley for my business because they have policies that hurt businesses and regulations that don't work for small businesses.
Term Limits...20 Years and Counting
We voted for term limits. A 12 year term limit law was passed by voters at 73.9% in 2004. However, incumbents who have been on council for twenty years each, grandfathered themselves into the law and now want four additional years. As lawmakers, public servants should also follow the spirit of the law and adhere to the will of the voters they serve.
