Wasteful Spending

Hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars have been wasted funding projects that have failed to produce positive results in advancing our community.

I will:

• Continue to vote against wasteful spending of your tax dollars.

• Continue to collaborate with our Police and Fire service providers to assure the most cost effective and highest appropriate level of service our community expects and deserves.

• Promote fiscally responsible spending to provide affordable services for Yorba Linda residents, including:

• Implement a cost effective and equitable method of maintaining our Landscape and Arterial District.

• Explore and support cost effective alternatives to maintaining, marketing and utilization of Black Gold golf Course.

• Only support funding of projects or processes that add value to our community and measurably ensure the improvement of our services and assets without creating an economic burden.

• Continue to explore and implement cost-effective and efficient delivery of City services.

• Support the development of privately funded venues such as equestrian and arts centers.

• Promote energy efficiency and revenue generating projects that will reduce our City overhead operations costs and provide a cleaner environment.

• Work to stop the high rate of City staff turnover primarily due to the Majority Council's behavior. Staff turnover costs the City money. I will continue to do my part in creating an atmosphere of mutual respect, collaboration and creativity where staff is encouraged to actively participate in all projects.
