I am a second generation Huntington Beach resident. My parents moved to Huntington Beach in the early 1970s as young newlyweds to start their family.

I graduated from Marina High School and attended Golden West College before transferring to UC Davis. After receiving my bachelors degree in political science-public service, I studied law and graduated from the Government Affairs Program at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California.

My interest in public service began early in life. While attending Spring View, I served on the Student Council as a class representative and as the school treasurer. I continued to serve on the student council at Marina High School and Golden West College. As a senior at MHS, I had the opportunity to serve on the Huntington Beach Youth Board and get involved with Youth in Government Day.

I am strongly committed to serving our community. I work in Huntington Beach for a non-profit organization that provides staff support to afterschool and summer day camps who have children and teens with special needs. Last year, I was honored to be named Employee of the Year. Working with children and families in Huntington Beach, helping people of all abilities and backgrounds to have fun and work together, has been a great source of joy in my life.

I am also very involved with my church, volunteer at my niece's school, and remain active with the local arts and veteran's charities as well as international humanitarian efforts.

When not working and volunteering, I like to stay active. I love to run on the beach, kayak through Huntington Harbor, bike along the beach path, or play with my big dog Moses. I also take a Pilates class at a nearby studio in Huntington Beach.
