Issues to Consider

By Tony Thomas English

Candidate for Board Member; Moulton-Niguel Water District; Division 3

This information is provided by the candidate
This is a vital issue.
Our current 7 day (or less), water supply makes it essential that we as a community force strict oversight over the management of resources here at the local water district. I plan to push for further investment and acceleration of water supply and storage projects with a goal of increasing the water supply in the event of an earthquake or other disaster. So I pledge: To support the design and construction of projects that provide needed reliability. To increase emergency planning and contingency plans. To advocate sensible conservation idea into the community. To assure MNWD is financially sound. Serving on the MNWD I have worked for: An increase of local water supplies through recycling, de-salters, interconnection projects and interagency agreements. Promoted an increase awareness of emergency planning Promoted conservation without ridicules draconian penalties Managed the long term planning of budgets to increase reliability
