New Ideas and Issues I plan to bring to City Council

By Alvin Edwards

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Seaside

This information is provided by the candidate
As an elected city Councilmember, I bring a fresh resourceful perspective, along with my proven leadership skills and experience. One of my goals will be to focus on addressing community concerns, and I welcome community voices, to share ideas and criticisms to improve the image of our city and council.

My goal will be having the City Council request all information prior to making any decisions in regards to our Joint Power Agreement for Fire Protection for the Monterey Peninsula. Supporting continuous planning for our Central Coast Veteran Cemetery on the Monterey Peninsula.

Redevelopment efforts on Fort Ord are essential for innovative growth and prosperity of our city; however my goal is to have the agency pay back the general fund three million plus dollars of the outstanding loan to the city.

The working families of California deserve a government that supports their hard work and shares their hope for the future, I will work diligently with my Councilmember and commissions and boards, to keep the citizens of Seaside informed of the Redevelopment and Economic development.

One of my priorities will be to focus on addressing community concerns, and I welcome community voices, to share ideas and criticisms to improve the image of our city and council.

Improve service to our Business community, one stop shop for start up business, written procedure in place.
