When Bruce left the City Council in 2004, he left the city with a balanced budget.
  • BALANCE THE "RECORD DEFICIT" BUDGET

City Hall is over-spending at four times the rate of our neighbors, Pacific Grove, Seaside, Carmel and Monterey. At this pace citizens will be forced to make a painful choice between new taxes and/or cuts to critical services. The Marina Council has approved a 2008 budget with an alarming record deficit of $10 million and plans to use city savings to cover this deficit spending. Bruce will help bring community stakeholders together to work towards a mutually agreeable solution to securing Marina's financial future.
