Why Pacific Grove is a Destination City for residents

By Kenneth Edward "Ken Cuneo1" Cuneo

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Pacific Grove

This information is provided by the candidate
There must be something that draws people to live in Pacific Grove. What is it?
If you are not among the blest and were not born here something must have lured you to settle in Pacific Grove.

Well first on the list could be the magnificent coastline that frames two sides of the city. Along this coastline runs the Recreation Trail where walkers, skaters and bicycles blend into wonderful experience.

It could also be the outstanding urban forest that our residences embrace. We live within this forest of Coastal Oaks, Monterey Pines, and Monterey Cypresses.

Perhaps it is our Golf Course and the landmark lighthouse that sits within the dunes

Worried about crime? Pacific Grove is a very safe city with a low crime rate .

There are those 1300 historic homes, more than any city on the Peninsula.

There is that Butterfly thing too!

And then there are those hometown events like the "Good Old Days"; the Butterfly Parade; the Little Car Show; Feast of Lanterns, Christmas in the Inns; the Summer Art Festival and Chautauqua Movement Days.

So you and I are stewards of all this. We must work together to preserve and enhance our wonderful town. Then we can pass this on to our next generation.

I invite your comments and thoughts on why you live here and what we can do to keep and preserve this.

These are just some of the things that make PG a Destination City.
