Restoring Services and the Quality of Life

By Alan Cohen

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Pacific Grove

This information is provided by the candidate
Little by litle Pacific Grove is losing it's sunshine, let's bring it back.
The residents of Pacific Grove are a caring and giving community. I believe we are all willing to participate in city activities in order to further improve our quality of life and environment.

Budget constaints have taken a bite out of our beloved city. We must look to bring back the services that make Pacific Grove the city it is, that is why I will stand up and support bringing a Police Resource Officer back into our schools, having a funded Pacific Grove Library. I support "Measure Q". The city needs a tree management program to keep our city trees healthy and keep our city green. We have to bring our Youth Center back to full service and support our recreation programs. We need to make sure our City assets like the Monarch Sanctuary are managed with a long range plan. We need to keep our Traditional Events funded as it is part of our social and cultural heritage.

Together we can make a difference and improve the quality of life in our town.
