Ballot Statement

TOMAS URSUA Age: 54 Occupation: Businessman

Pomona faces a major crisis. Our city government nears bankruptcy: police are eliminated, our library shutdown; yet it continues to waste millions of our tax dollars in excessive salaries, retirement costs, bad real estate deals and un-needed services.

Someone must stand up for Pomona taxpayers and fight City Hall!

The City Council has failed to do its job; we need new leaders elected.

Tomas Ursua, born and raised in Pomona, is committed to a radical overhaul of City Hall. His background makes him exceptionally qualified to take on the City's problems. Ursua's efforts will center on:

Stop the irresponsible waste of taxpayer funds.
Re-size City government to balance the budget.

This plan will save money in order to:

Create more jobs for Pomona residents, and services for our youth.
Lower utility taxes and licensing to attract more businesses and homeowners to our City.
Expand community centers to organize, unite and develop our neighborhoods.

It's time to vote for Real Leadership that can bring Real Change to Pomona. Vote: Tomas Ursua.

Experience: Non-profit Director (Developed three community centers in Pomona over 20 years.) Homebuilder/Construction Project Manager Pomona City Councilman ('89-'93) Education: U.C.L.A. Graduate School of Urban Planning B.A., U.C.Riverside
