Mayor Daniel "Danny" K. Tabor was elected Mayor of the City of Inglewood on August 31st, 2010. Previously Mayor Tabor was re-elected to the Inglewood City Council in June 2007 to represent the 1st Council District.

Mayor Tabor has a long distinguished career in public and private services to his community. He previously served as Senior Community Organizer for the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy; Community Voice-PICO; Coalition for a Better Inglewood, Negotiator for the $500 million dollar Community Benefits Agreement between the Los Angeles World Airports and the LAX Coalition for Economic, Environmental and Educational Justice; and Program Manager with the Community Development Commission, County of Los Angeles.

From 1993 to 1996 Mayor Tabor served as the Southern California Liaison for the Office of the Secretary, United States Department of Commerce, under Secretary Ronald H. Brown. Mayor Tabor brings to the community vast experience in the areas of public policy development and community planning.

Currently, Mayor Tabor remains active in the Inglewood community. He serves as Board Chairman of Great Beginnings for Black Babies, immediate past President of Sportsman Little League and the Vice-Chairman of the Inglewood Unified School District Measure K Bond Oversight Committee, and Inglewood Democratic Club. He is the immediate past Board Chairman of Inglewood's Coalition for Drug and Violence Prevention, which he co-founded with the Youth and Family Center of Southern California and the BEST Foundation of Los Angeles.

Mayor Tabor is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Long Beach-Inglewood-South Bay Alumni Chapter, and the Coalition for A Better Inglewood. Mr. Tabor and his family are members of First Church of God, Center of Hope, in Inglewood.

Mayor Tabor is Proud to be endorsed by Congresswoman Diane Watson, L.A. County Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, Assemblyman Steve Bradford, and Former Lt. Governor Mervyn Dymally.
