Questions & Answers

1. Please provide a brief list of your qualifications in bullet format, using an asterisk (*) to represent a bullet.

To protect the community from violent criminals, promote justice, and ensure due process so the innocent are not wrongly convicted. Website: Schneiderforjudge.com.

2. What are your views on the need for more diversity on the bench and the manner in which the court treats litigants of various ethnic groups?

While diversity is extremely important, those who vote based on race, religion, ethnicity or gender risk electing candidates who are not qualified or ill suited for the office. Thus, I urge voters to educate themselves and select candidates "not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character."

3. Who are your judicial role-models? Why?

My judicial role models are the non-famous trial judges who know the law, and rule impartially based on it, who are committed to securing justice for crime victims, and protecting the Constitutional rights of the accused, who are fair, honest, reasonable, and when appropriate merciful, and who treat everyone in their court- jurors, lawyers, court staff, victims, witnesses, and defendants- with consideration and respect. I will strive to be such a judge.
