Objective To be elected to the position of Board Director on the Three Valleys Municipal Water District representing Division 1 for the people of South Pomona.

Education Two years of education at the University of California at Santa 1972-1974

Barbara, Political Science Major.

Graduated Bonita High School, La Verne, Ca. 1969-1972

Trade Education 3 years formal training for Journeyman Cement Mason. 1978-1980

Long Beach City College.

Attended numerous jobsite and personal safety seminars and classes. 1978-2009

I participated in various conferences and seminars regarding water industry standards for treatment, storage and conveyance of water.

At least 10 field trips throughout California, Arizona and parts
Of Mexico studying environmental, agricultural and conveyance
issues Sponsoring agencies included, American Water Works
Association of California Water Agencies, Metropolitan Water District,
Three Valley's Municipal Water District and the Water Education
Project Skills/ Abilities Leadership
Served almost 5 years as Division I Director of Three Valleys Municipal 2002-2007
Water District. and appointed Director Nov. 2009-Present. Made major decisions impacting Div. I residents
with regards to their water supply, conservation efforts and infra- structure planning. Carried out my fiduciary duty concerning use of Public funds and made some personnel decisions regarding our General Manager and staff benefits. Chaired sub-committee that Developed "Director's Pocket Guide" for ethical and effective Leadership for new Directors. As a member of the Internal/External Committee I traveled to Sacramento, Ca. and Washington, D.C. to impress upon legislators the importance of striving to maintain clean, safe

and sustainable water supplies for Pomona, TVMWD service area and Southern Calif. in general. I utilized my political contacts to promote TVMWD goals and objectives. I worked with Pomona High schools recruiting their participation in Solar Boat events engaging many local students for the first time in a Multi-faceted educational experience.

I served 5 years as Planning Commissioner with one year as Chair-

man for the City of Pomona. Worked co-operatively with 6 other
Commissioners dealing with Conditional Use Permits to approving
new building projects in the city of Pomona. Worked diligently on
the overdue revision of City Codes which basically define the direction
a city wants to go.

During the years 2000-2007, I worked at all three jobs concurrently at one time or another. I ran two election campaigns for local public office during this period.

Bi-lingual, English and Spanish.

Work Experience Since the age of 17 I have worked construction: as a hod-carrier for stucco, block and brick, as a residential framing carpenter, as drywall hanger and taper

and as a form setter, layout leadman for all kinds of cement masonry.
Namely water treatment and storage projects, schools (primary-universities),
shopping malls, baseball parks, skateboard parks, swimming pool decks,
manufacturing retro-fits, industrial buildings and commercial buildings of
all types.

I have 32 years in the Cement Masons and Plasterers Union Local #500.

I have 5 years as a Planning Commissioner City of Pomona.

I have 5 years as a Board Director of Three Valleys Municipal Water District.
