I have worked for many years for the benefit of Kensington as Director, and President of the Kensington Improvement Club. KIC interfaces with most other K- groups, supports the Scouts, contributes to KMAC's budget, and funds and assists with landscaping and beautification projects. KIC also produced the book, Kensington Past and Present, which chronicles the history of the community, and serves as a kind of handbook for structure of government and volunteer organizations in this very special community which we call home. The book was distributed to all members and to the community at large at a nominal cost.

I attend KPPCSD Board meetings and understand how the Board works. I bring to our District many years of past experience as an attorney, including serving as a judge pro tem under various presiding judges of the San Francisco Superior Court. Currently, I am a local realtor, and I know the factors contributing to the unique quality of life which supports our fairly stable property values, even in these difficult economic times. I was active in the petition drive to keep our police force in Kensington, and in the Measure G campaign to keep our District solvent. I understand that the District has many functions: police services, social welfare and emergency preparedness, solid waste contract negotiation and oversight, and park and recreation maintenance and services. If elected, I will devote my energies to preserving and improving the District, keeping it financially solvent, and ascertaining and meeting residents' priorities.

I am proud to have the endorsements of the El Cerrito Democratic Club and the Contra Costa County Democratic Party. I also recognize that the positions on the KPPCSD Board are non partisan, and if elected, I will work with all of my fellow Board members to reach solutions for issues within our purview.
