Candidate for
Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

During my first term as your representative on the Ambrose Recreation & Park District the Ambrose Master Plan is beginning the process. I have worked with the other board members to develop policies to create new revenues, establish a strong reserve fund and to help the district stay on budget while developing improvements to the district. A new general manager has been hired, Anuta Park has been upgraded, community outreach and partnerships have increased; our community center has been painted and remodeled, community outreach, nonprofit partnerships have increased, and despite the economic challenges, our reserves have increased and only one staff position has been cut.

I have lived in Bay Point for over twenty years, with my wife and 2 adult children. I have been an active member of the community having served on the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council for 4 years.

In addition to serving as an elected board member I am an Eagle Scout (1974), Silver Beaver Award (2010) and have served as the Executive Director of AdvanceCamp (A Boy Scout Advancement event) since its founding in 1999; scouting and recreation are my passions.
