Candidate for
Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

I am running for re-election to the governing board of Ambrose Park and Recreation District.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Idaho State University plus some post graduate courses. I have retired from the Contra Costa County Office of Education after 30 years as a speech therapist and augmentative communication specialist.

I have lived in Bay Point for 32 years and have been active in the Bay Point community since 2001. I have served on the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council for 5 years, first appointed and then elected, and appointed to the Project Area Committee for 2 years. I am a past member of the Bay Point Community Advisory Panel.

I have made our home in Bay Point with my husband, Skip, and we have raised 3 daughters.

Since 2005, I have supported the local American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the last 3 years been the Team Captain Mentor and I have been the Captain of the Bay Point Relay team.

In 2006 I retired from the Contra Costa County Office of Education after serving for 30 years as a speech therapist and augmentative communication specialist for students with special needs. I am also an officer in the Pittsburg Chapter of the Women of the Moose.
