Our Water/Wastewater System Comes First

By Brian J. Dawson

Candidate for Town of Dbay Cmty Svcs Director; Town of Discovery Bay Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
Our water/wastewater systems are complex and amazing.
My number one priority is maintaining our water and wastewater facilities. With roughly 60 miles of water and wastewater mains, 15 wastewater lift stations, 2 water treatment plants, and 2 wastewater treatment plants, the District can pump 4 million gallons of water on a typical summer day. We even have a state-of-the-art Bio-Solids System that produces the compost used in our common landscape areas. Complex and innovative, the health and maintenance of our system must be high on the list of priorities for Directors. The knowledge I have gained in this year, and continue to gain as we advance, has given me the both the understanding and the knowledge to be a pragmatic steward of our facilities.
