My Plan: Taking Action for a Change

For decades, the College District have invested in building infrastructure--thanks to the 2002 and 2006 bonds passed by the voters. However, while the District built grandiose campuses, education and the plight of students were neglected. Where are efforts to find supplemental funding to invest in our people?

For decades, the College District have invested in building infrastructure--thanks to the 2002 and 2006 bonds passed by the voters. However, while the District built grandiose campuses, education and the plight of students were neglected. Where are efforts to find supplemental funding to invest in our people?

I believe it is time to take action for a change. It is time to focus on our students and our community. Here is my plan to turn our colleges around:
1. Aggressively pursue public-private partnerships to make up for lost revenue from the state.
2. Close the achievement gap.
3. Fight for more financial aid for students.
4. Ensure that unrestricted funds in the budget go to education needs such as programs, courses, faculty and advisors.
