This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

I have provided over 40 years of service to Chico Unified School District. I have helped develop graduation requirement policies and the Early Childhood Education Program. I have served on school site councils and committees, including but not limited to; Facilities, Strategic Planning and Budget Development. My four daughters are Chico Unified Graduates. I have been a PTA president, district employee and negotiated District/Union contracts.

I have the experience and knowledge of the inner workings of the district that will allow me, as a. board member, to anticipate and plan for upcoming needs and trends before they become critical in nature.

I will work hard to retain programs that matter to parents and students, such as Academics Plus, Open Structure, GATE, Spanish Immersion, Athletics, Agriculture, Music and Fine Arts. I will work to strengthen Career Technology programs emphasizing workforce preparedness. I will encourage innovative approaches to education like magnet schools. These programs and innovations matter and make CUSD a district supported by its parents, staff and community.

I will work with the community, parents, students, employees and their unions to help steer Chico Unified through these troubling times. Distinctive leadership is a critical need I believe I can fulfill.
