Smart Voter Official Statement for Blane Parrott

Candidate for
Director; Paradise Irrigation District; Division 2

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Times are hard. We all have had to cut back on spending just to try to make ends meet As incomes spiral down, the cost of living is rocketing up. I will do what I can to make sure water rates stay affordable. The Paradise Irrigation District needs to stay in touch with people's needs. Our PID has installed/is in the process of installing "smart meters" on many houses. These allow our usage to be transmitted wirelessly, making the job of meter reading obsolete. Is this the time to eliminate jobs by replacing them with expensive equipment? Installing costly equipment to bill us should not take precedence over making sure our homes have enough water to put out a fire if that terrible circumstance should occur. My own neighborhood, centrally located, does not have adequate water supply for a major fire. Does yours? I love Paradise. I was born here and have my practice, Parrott Chiropractic here. I will make sure the needs of our town are addressed. We will have clean, healthy, adequate water at a reasonable rate.
