Smart Voter Official Statement for Barbara "Bobbi" (Dunivan) Dunivan-Elder

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Paradise Unified School District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

I wish to have my statement translated and printed in Spanish in addition to English, with the understanding that I will pay the actual cost incurred. I am a parent and have a child attending school in Paradise. My other children also attended school in Paradise graduating from Paradise High. I have been a resident of Paradise since 1980 and was a Girl Scout Leader for ten years, a member of LIONS and was the International Youth Exchange for Multiple District 4, a board member of the Paradise Youth Symphony, and spent some time as an emergency foster parent giving refuge to those children who were determined to be in desperate situations by CPS.

My career background gives me an understanding of budgetary constraints; understanding of all legal documents; problem solving; and human resource issues. I worked for the Superintendent of Thermalito Unified School District, the District Attorney's office, Child Support Services and as an Analyst for the Butte County Children and Families Commission. My education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, graduate studies in Public Administration, and a post graduate certificate in Human Resource Management.

I am interested in helping Paradise Unified School District provide the best possible education for our children while maintaining fiscal responsibility and will work diligently to that end.
