As a wife, mother, grandmother, retired teacher and member of the HUSD Board of Trustees, I know that all children can and will learn in a clean, safe, motivating environment.

My family has lived in Hayward for more than 40 years. I am a life-long learner who returned to school after my children graduated for high school. I earned an AA degree from Chabot College, Bachelor's of Science and teaching certificate from CSU Hayward, and a special education teaching and infant and toddler certificate from SJSU. I have graduate work in Public Administration and CLAD class at UC Berkeley. As a mother I am proud of my children and as a police dispatcher, I am proud to say I saved a woman whose house was being broken into.

As a HUSD Board Trustee I am proud to say I was instrumental in bringing 10,000 school supply bags to our students. I supported the Project Labor agreement that has put Hayward residents to work on our school building projects financed by Measure I.
