In its Sept. 29th endorsement, the Oakland Tribune wrote: "There are seven candidates. Yet there is only one who has the experience to hit the ground running. That is Libby Schaaf... Schaaf knows how the city bureaucracy really works. She knows what's involved in creating a budget... Schaaf actually offers some specifics... None of these candidates has anything approaching Schaaf's qualifications. That is why we endorse Libby Schaaf for District 4."
