Ending the cozy relation between elected officials and developers

By Vladimir Rodriguez

Candidate for Council Member; City of Fremont

This information is provided by the candidate
Currently most elected officials side with developers in regards to new housing projects. City Officials disregard people and Fremont Unified opinions.
As a candidate I would end the cozy relationship between developers and city officials, I will bring the City of Fremont and the Fremont Unified District to work together for the benefit of our children's education. We need to have a more transparent city budget, no more hidden agendas and hidden revenues E.G. Surprising revenues found by officials after utility tax did not passed. I would also work hard to end elected officials from serving more than two terms and stay away from city affairs for a minimum of two years. E.G. especially those who work as consultants. In the case of the Patterson Project I will push to enforce an eminent domain and retain the land as open space. I am not against developers but favor sustainable development, build projects or entertain proposals that benefit the whole city and not just a few. I am in favor of converting downtown to something where we can walk, shop and have a cup of coffee, something similar to Sunnyvale, Pleasanton or Redwood City
