Vote For Fitzpatrick School Board two year seat 2010

By Lawrence M. "Fitz" Fitzpatrick

Candidate for Board Member; Hayward Unified School District; Unexpired Short Term

This information is provided by the candidate
It is when parents are board members with children in the school district that a very strong motivation drives our board to improve our schools. Without this we have a board with little or no interest in improving education.

When we have board members who sent their children to private schools we must question their reasons for being there. They have little to lose if there is no improvement but, for parents of children in the district it is all on the line.

Our children are very dear to us and we want the best for them.I have a good reason to run for the school board. One of my daughters is attending middle school in Hayward and my other daughter will be in kindergarten in two years. My concerns as a parent with children in this district are: low test performance, student violence, and improper budget management.

For many years I have seen little to nothing when it comes to improvements in the school district. We need to elect people to the board that care about our children and have a vested interest in the improvement of our schools. The future of our children and our community hangs in the balance. This is why I am running as a citizen of Hayward with children in HUSD. I have a vested interest in our school system!
