Council Member; City of Fremont

Vinnie holds a degree in the life sciences from the University of Wisconsin and received his graduate school degrees in City Planning and Transportation Engineering from the University of California in Berkeley.

After completing his college education he began working as a Transportation Planner preparing environmental impact reports, traffic impact studies and transportation demand modeling studies.

For the last seven years he has worked as a technical support manager in the computer software industry. He is currently with a small Silicon Valley startup company.

He moved to Fremont 17 years ago and started his family. He has been active with a number of volunteer organizations including PTA , the Glenmoor Gardens Homeowners Association and the Sierra Club. He has been a member of the Sierra Club's SF Bay Area chapter's political committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the organization's Southern Alameda County group. He is also a member of the Sierra Club's Executive Committee of the San Francisco Bay Chapter. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board representing the Alameda Labor Council.

Concerns with environmental issues led to his extensive campaign work for Measure K in Fremont.

As a member of Fremont Citizen's Network he has worked to educate Fremont residents about the negative financial impacts of locating a baseball stadium in the city.

Vinnie's interest in Fremont city government led to his first run for Fremont City Council in 2008. He placed third in the election of two city council members.
