I am a fiscal conservative. I believe the federal government has gone way beyond its constitutional mandate and infringed on many state prerogatives and individual liberties. Although I accept the reality of federal powers and understand we must work within that reality, I think we should move back toward the federalism concept of the founders. I think that many of our national and state problems are caused by overreaching government trying to do too much for too many.

I also believe the state should focus our efforts on investment, not consumption: improvements in transportation, education, water resources, parks and infrastructure. We must immediately change the "Greece-like" culture in Sacramento.

My vision is to return California to a vibrant economically-strong state which rewards innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
