Protecting Consumers
As Attorney General, I will fight predatory lending. I will work to prevent mortgage fraud and prosecute lenders and anyone else that tries to take advantage of California homebuyers. I will enact and enhance programs to protect consumers against identity theft. I will protect our seniors from nursing home abuse and consumer fraud.
Preventing Crime
As Attorney General, I will work to prevent crime before it happens by expanding educational and economic opportunities for all Californians, reducing gang activity, strengthening effective rehabilitation programs, and improving community-police relations.
Innovation First
As Attorney General, I will bring advanced forensics technology to our law enforcement system. I will standardize crime mapping, develop and implement an effective GPS monitoring system and use cutting-edge technology to prevent high-tech and computer crime in our state. I will also require all crime-related computer systems be upgraded to save taxpayers money.
