I am a constitutional conservative. I want people to have the maximum amount of personal freedom and have the responsibility to manage their lives for themselves.

Taxes are too high, government is too large and we must have a strong national defense that is free to protect us from enemies who make it perfectly clear that they wish to kill us and take our freedom.

I believe that America is a blessed land and exceptional. The civil society is created by a balance of individual liberty and personal responsibility. The free market is the best economic system for people to live with because it promotes thrift, industry and the accumulation of personal wealth. Charity is the best way to help the needy.

The federal government's job is to protect us from our enemies and stay out of our way. This way we are both safe and free.

It is my goal to serve in office so I can restrict the expansion of government, curtail it's out of control spending and focus government priorities on those few things government should do.
