The Party for Socialism and Liberation campaign of Carlos Alvarez for CA Governor stands with all people who demand justice for Oscar Grant. The racist murder of Grant at the hands of BART officer Johannes Mehserle was an outrage. Mehserle's criminal trial has now been moved to Los Angeles in an attempt to sidestep justice. The PSL stands firmly against racism and the murder of innocent people by the police. Police violence targeting poor and oppressed people, especially Black and Latino youth, is endemic in this society. The exectution of OScar Grant is no different. Only an organized, working-class movement can stop police violence and murder. Jail Johannes Mehserle now! Killer cops must pay! Stop police killing, brutality and racial profiling! Community control over the police! |
