  • Strongly supported by law enforcement incl. Sheriff Laurie Smith, multiple police officer associations and former DAs George Kennedy & Leo Himmelsbach
  • 22+ years of substantial trial and courtroom experience. Significant experience in trying hundreds of cases in all areas of our Court system.
  • Has presided over or settled hundreds of matters as a Settlement Officer, Temporary Judge Pro Tem and Civil Arbitrator.
  • Adjunct Professor of Law at Lincoln Law School of San Jose (1989-1995). Frequent lecturer on Santa Clara County Bar Association Law Panels.
  • Donated thousands of volunteer hours for pro bono legal services incl. 1000+ hours to the representation of children in our Court system
  • Recipient of Henry Collada Award in December 2009 for personal & professional service, integrity and commitment to the Santa Clara County Family Court

  • Vice-Chair, Citizen Advisory Panel for the Dumbarton Rail Corridor Project (environmental impact report)
  • Endorsed by judges and attorneys from all over the Bay Area
  • 101 felony jury trials, more than anyone else in the District Attorney's Office.
  • Environmentalist & member of the Nature Conservancy
