Harry Sidhu on Protecting the Taxpayer

By Harry Sidhu

Candidate for Supervisor; County of Orange; Supervisorial District 4

This information is provided by the candidate
Taxpayer money must be wisely spent. I will continue to fight for sound and conservative fiscal responsibility, accountability to the taxpayers, and curbing wasteful government spending.
I firmly oppose tax increases. The California tax rates are among the highest in the nation and high taxes are stealing the American Dream from our families as they are forced to work harder every year. Because of unfair taxes and government waste, hard work doesn't mean more time with the family, more time for vacations or a better house. Instead, hard work just means more taxes.

Taxpayer money must be wisely spent. I will continue to fight for sound and conservative fiscal responsibility, accountability to the taxpayers, and curbing wasteful government spending.

The current Board of Supervisors has been at the forefront of pension reform in the state - if not the nation. The County is facing hundreds of millions of dollars in future unfunded government pension liabilities. I will work with the other Supervisors in continuing to focus on solutions that bring down the cost of these unfunded liabilities and protect our taxpayers. We must keep Orange County moving forward in a positive, economically sound direction.

It's also important to note the passage of Measure J which will allow the voters to vote on any pension increase in the future.

I have always believed that taxpayers and families should come first, and I will serve with integrity and accountability on the Board of Supervisors to earn and retain your trust every day.

I would be honored to have your VOTE (No. 4 your ballot)!

In sincere appreciation and gratitude,

Harry Sidhu
