By Hebard R Olsen

Candidate for Member, Green Party County Council; County of Monterey

This information is provided by the candidate
I put video weekly captured with over 16 cameras locally into 6 1/2 1 hr slots reserved from Access Monterey Peninsula Cable TV. I have done over 2000 hrs since 2000. Commercial TV Station videographers refer to me as an activist. At times I ask questions of the subject presenting while the camera is recording my question and answer putting me in a reporters role. At times I use multiple cameras with mixer which can display one of two people COMMUNICATING in politically embarrassing moments. Using Pro professional cameras at estimate $300/hr I have provided $600,000 service to Monterey County viewers.

Providing TV signal is only 1/2 of acting in the public interest. The other half is who is put in front of the camera and microphone, who will connect with at least the local issues & community. Currently only one program in 141 program content refers to the local community! It is not possible to politically act on what you can't see, hear or know! If the Monterey County Green Party will FRAME the issue and provide necessary INFORMATION Republicans & Democrats will VOTE the way Greens vote.

The Green Party with less than a majority will get attention when we discuss & capture sound and picture of how corporate funding which flows to major parties determines choices of what to report in media & Republicans & Democratic parties. Citizens can influence only what media reports. Major parties, Democrats and Republicans, in act laws which will pay for campaign for reelection.
