I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and it has been my home for over 50 years. I am a widower and have two sons. My father worked in the aerospace industry, including Hughes Aircraft - Space & Communications Division, after leaving the Navy, and my mother worked in the credit reporting and banking fields.

I attended LAUSD public school, including El Camino Real High School. I graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in Economics. I graduated in the top 10% of my class from McGorge School of Law, UOP, and was a member of the Order of the Coif, a national honor society.

I passed the California Bar on my first sitting and am admitted to all Courts of the State of California, as well as the United States District Court for the Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.

I have worked for over 27 years as an attorney, and served as a judge pro tem, mediator and arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court. I have experience in many different areas of the law, and have one published appellate decision.
