2. Why are you running for Superior Court Judge? (No more than 75 words total for questions 2 and 3.)

Answer from Douglas W. Weitzman:
During high school, college and law school, I have had positions whereby I would make decisions regarding people and behavior.
I have been a pro tem, mediator, arbitrator and negotiator most of my life. I will be a fair, diligent judge.
Answer from Soussan G. Bruguera:
I am running to retain my seat. I believe in public service. As a Superior Court Judge, I have promoted justice. I consider each case carefully, I have the endorsements and approvals of my judicial supervisors, and I have been fair to the parties in my courtroom. I have considerable experience in a variety of areas of law.

Answer from Douglas W. Weitzman:
29 years experience as an attorney, with hundreds of cases heard as an arbitrator/mediator, I have heard 50,000+ cases as judge pro tem for 14 years. I have taken judicial training many times keeping up with current trends.
Answer from Soussan G. Bruguera:
I have twenty-one years of experience on the bench.

Until 5:00 p.m. on April 5, 2010,
candidates for Superior Court Judge must limit their answers to 100
words total for all questions so that a paper Voters Guide may be
published. Specific word limits are as follows: 25 words for
question 1; 75 words total for questions 2 and 3. After 5:00 p.m. on
April 5, 2010, word limits will no longer apply.
