The El Dorado County Assessor's Office is well respected in the community for the quality of public service that we provide. Homeowners, real estate professionals, taxpayers and the general public all hold our office in high regard for professionalism, competence and dedication.

As the Assistant Assessor for seven years, I have been a part of the team that, under Assessor Tim Holcomb, delivers the service that earns that reputation. My position requires that I be responsible for the day to day operations of the office, preparation and administration of the department's budget, oversight of all appraisals, personal handling or supervision of the large appraisals, personnel matters, Board of Equalization hearings and much more. I take my job seriously.

I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Sacramento '84. As is required by the State Board of Equalization I hold an Advanced Appraiser for Property Taxes certificate issued by the State Board of Equalization. With more than 19 years experience in the Assessor's Office and the seasoning of seven years as Assistant Assessor under Tim Holcomb, I have experienced every variety of appraisal work done by an Assessor's office. From unsecured property taxes, ie., business property tax, boats, planes, etc. to residential and commercial properties.

When Tim Holcomb decided to retire and not seek a third term, he ask me to run for his seat. The position of Assistant Assessor is a great training ground for stepping up to serve as Assessor - Tim was the Assistant Assessor before running for Assessor, as were John Winner and John Thorne before him. With the experience that I have as Assistant Assessor (7 years), the qualifications that I possess and the trust of many community leaders expressed in my nomination papers and endorsement lists I decided to step forward and run for this office.

I thank you for your consideration and I ask for your support and your vote on June 8th.
