I have lived in Contra Costa County since 1992, living in Bay Point since 1996 where I own my home.

I have been a member of the Democratic Central Committee for Contra Costa County since 2004 having been re-elected in 2006 and 2008.

Our County Democratic Central Committee represents the California Democratic Party in Contra Costa County. We meet every month at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union hall at 1875 Arnold Drive in Martinez on the third Thursday starting at 7 PM usually. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND. IT IS A PUBLIC MEETING.

In addition to working on campaigns to elect Democrats to National, State, and Local offices, I have also been a candidate myself for the Ambrose Recreation and Park District in Bay Point and the Contra Costa Community College District Governing Board Ward 3.

I have been the East County Library Commissioner appointed by Supervisor Federal Glover and confirmed by the County Board of Supervisors since 2004. You can read about the County Library Commission at the Library's website ccclib.org.

I am currently helping the campaigns of the following Democratic candidates:

Tom Torlakson for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Bob Brooks for County Assessor.

Brian Kalinowksi for County Sheriff.

Dan O'Malley for County District Attorney.

Karen Thibodeau for County Treasurer-Tax Collector.

Please vote for all of them for the June 2010 election!

I also provide candidates, government officials, and others with an opportunity to learn about my hometown, Bay Point, with the Bay Point Tour. The Tour takes 90 minutes and covers 40 key areas of Bay Point. So far, more than 15 persons have taken the Tour.

I have been a high school math teacher since 1999 having previously been a financial analyst from 1981 to 1998. I have been a long-time supporter of labor unions having been a member of three different teachers' unions starting in 1976 when I was 22.
