Providing our young people with the best education possible in order for them to succeed in the world.Educating our students within the best public education system in the world is a goal we all must endeaver to achieve and is the best tool we have to reduce poverty, lower the crime rate and make this world a better place. Our young people are our future and we must provide them with every opportunity to enter the working world fully prepared. Until recently, state funding for public education has decreased and that fact is reflected in our standing in the world when compared to students of other countries. I will support increased state funding of public education and will actively recruit the business community to become more involved with the education of our young people via the creation of a business/educational interface that will incorporate the needs of the business community into the learning structure. |
