In the immortal words of Thomas Paine, these are truly the times that try men's souls. Today's world presents our country with many challenges. Our economy is in disarray, terrorism and extremist states continue to be a threat, and we have a federal government that ignores us and refuses to apply common sense solutions to our problems. Rather than throw away 200 years of accumulated historical wisdom, we should be relying on the principles that have made America the envy of the world: smaller government, individual liberty, and free markets.

History tells us that Americans are at their best when America is most vulnerable. While there is work to do, we can and will restore America and her values together. The time to act is now, and I am running for Congress to bring common sense back to Washington and get things done. The people of Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District want and deserve better. I intend to give it to them.

I encourage you to evaluate all the candidates and choose the one that gives us the best chance to win the election in November.
