State Representative; District 163; Republican Party

I was born and raised in West Philadelphia and graduated Graduated St. Donato,St. Thomas More,St. Joseph University.

I am a Korean Veterean serving 4 years in the Air Force and achieved the rank of Staff Sargeant. I was the supervisor of a Radar Group.My task was to insure that the Radar Equipment on the B-25 were ready for operation. I taught electronic and Radar classes inthe Air Force for two years.

I was an employee at the GE Missile Plant in Philadelphia. I was an employee at GE from 1955 to 1979. I was a supervisor of a computer lab with 8 employees. I maintained the computers-designed electronic interfaces. Electronic interfaces was designed to test the nose cone.

I am marries to June who also is a Korean Veterean. We have 3 children,7 grand children,7 great grandchildren. June She served 2 1/2 years in the Air Force. We met in Waco Texas.

I owned and operated Micozzie Real Estate 1985 to 1995. I have a Real Estate Broker's License but am inactive and hold the prestigeous CRS -CRB Real Estate designations.

I was elected as an Upper Darby Councilman in 1971 I was one of the first Democrat to ever be elected there. I was re-elected as the only Democrat in 1975 to 1979 and served as a Republican on Upper Darby Council until 1989. I ran as a Republicn candidate in 1989 for State Representative. I was successfull and have been elected 15 times as State Representative.

In Harrisburg, I have served on many important committees. I am presently the Chairman of the Insurance Committee. I am a member of the Health and Human Services Committee. and have served on the Local Government, Liquor and Professional licensing Committees.

I have been relentless in changing the way the state funds Public Education and enating a new formula that provides enough funding to reduce school property taxes,is equitable in its distribution and accountable by School Boards.I have introduced the legislation for the past three sessions that accomplisenes the above goals.

Many of the provisions included in my proposals were included in the General Assembly's Costing Out study that has been enacted by the State. The goal being that every child in Pennsylvania have an opportunity to have a godd education no matter where they reside.

THE LANSDOWNE THEATER AND 20 CENTURY CLUB

Working with Greater Lansdowne Civic Association and the Lansdlwne Economic Development Corporation, together with my office was able to convince the Pa. Department of Community and Economic Development to provide funding in the revitalization of Lansdowne Borough.

Among many other grants , there were two significan grants applications that were approved - $900,000.00 to stabilize and eventually purchase the Lansdowne Theater and $425,000.00 to renovate the Centry 20 clUb. The theater is going to be opened April 17, 2010 for a live concent. the Century Club renovatiion was completed and now is a beautiful place to visit and is a place for commuity activities.Working with the above entities, my office introduced legislation if enacted and approved by the Governor and Legislative Leaders, The HistoricalLansdopwne theater Corporation will receive a totla of $6,000,000 to assist in completel renovating the Lansdowne Theater.

CLIFTON HEIGHTS REVITALIZATION PPROJECTS AND FUNDING

Working closely with Clifton Heights Council and the newly formed Clifton Heights Community and Economic Development Corporation, my office supported a request for three (3) separate DCED Grant Applications totaling $$1,700,000.00. the purpose of the grants were and are is to implement the $125,000.00 McCormick/Taylor study to revitalize Clifton Heights beginning along South Springfield Road and the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Springfield Road.

The funding has been used so far for the following:

1.Two appraisals
2.Purchse of the Mac and Sam Property
3.Enviromental Clean up of the site
4.Preparation of the property to list the property for sale
5.Property appraisalson the north side of Baltimore Pike
6.Legal Fees
