My name is Robert Fisher and I am a candidate for the Pennsylvania General Assembly in the 48th District. I have been a life long resident of Washington County and have been together since high school with my wife Judith (Judy ) Fisher. Judy currently serves as Jury Commissioner in the Washington County court system. Judy and I have two adult children and four grandchildren.

I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Psychology, Earth Science and Civil Defense Training. My employment history includes working for The United States Postal Service, Gateway Coal Company and Emerald Mine in Waynesburg, Pa. More recently, I was employed by Allegheny Ludlum Corporation in Washington, Pa.

I have been a member of the Washington County Democratic Committee for the past 30 years. In addition, I have also served on the Executive Committee.

I have spent a large portion of my working career as a union worker. I have also been on the other side of the fence in management. It is my experience on both sides which gives me the unique insight to handle situations at both ends of the spectrum. I am running for this office because I feel voters need and deserve a clear choice on election day. The idea of things continuing as status quo must come to an end.
