Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Christopher "Chris" Pinchiaroli

Candidate for
Member, Board of Education; Mount Pleasant Central School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I am running:

  • To continue to serve our community.
  • To maintain the momentum and pace of change.
  • To push for improvements in curriculum.
  • To agitate for improved instruction.
  • To see to it that every dollar collected is spent wisely.
  • To ask the tough questions and accept only straight answers.
  • To eliminate waste while supporting high-impact programs.
  • To put my legal and business skills to use for the betterment of our schools.

One of the great things about our District is the way that all segments of our community (parents, students, staff, empty-nesters, seniors) actively participate in the functioning of the District. The increase in citizen participation that I have seen over the past 3 years has been astounding and we are a stronger District for it.

I firmly believe that representative government works best when people get involved. In Mount Pleasant, when the Board of Education has asked for community assistance, whether in time or resources, the call has been answered. Whether it was our superintendent and other search committees, our Foundation, our PTAs, our athletic and booster clubs, our audit committee, or our citizens' budget committee, the community has been there for our District and, ultimately, for our kids. I plan to continue this practice of meaningful community involvement.
