Government Spending

By Tim R. Martz

Candidate for US Representative; District 2; Republican Party

This information is provided by the candidate
National Defense, social security, and Medicare must be fully funded.
Our government has many essential expenditures that must be fully funded. These include; national defense, social security, and Medicare. There are many political names for pork barrel spending, such as, stimulus or TARP for it, but unnecessary spending must stop. In the name of stimulus, over 9 million dollars was approved for a project to create robotic bees, called RoboBees. This project was supposed to create 1.66 jobs. TARP was supposed to get banks lending again. Among other uses, it was used to guarantee Wall Street bonuses, and the government taking a controlling interest in General Motors.
