Candidate for
Member of City Council to succeed George Barich; City of Cotati

Cotati, where my husband and I have raised our 3 children, has been my home since 1978. I'm involved in my community because I care about its future. Considering the economic downturn it's imperative our next councilmember possess a thorough understanding of municipal budgets and the vision of a fiscally sustainable future. My 30 year career in management of business and information systems and my experience as a planning commissioner uniquely qualify me to lead Cotati forward.

My goals are to balance the budget, preserve community policing, maintain essential city services and restore programs such as recreation. I'll work to increase revenue through policies that support existing local business and attract new business that supports and enhances the character of our community.

I'll focus on maintaining and promoting the diversity and special qualities we all love about Cotati. I'll work to increase volunteerism and commit to emphasizing a healthy community through thoughtful planning, walkable community design, environmental stewardship and sustainable growth.

My skills, experience and commitment have earned me endorsements from seven former Cotati mayors and scores of other policymakers and Cotati citizens. I'll bring a much needed new tone to the city council. I respectfully ask for your vote.
