Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Dawn A. Segal

Candidate for
Judge; Pennsylvania Municipal Court; District 1

This information is provided by the candidate

As a judicial candidate, I am not permitted to take positions on political issues or express a philosophy.

However, I am deeply committed to a very high standard of ethics and integrity, both individually and for the judiciary, and have been horrified by the recent examples of judicial misconduct.

I also have had an opportunity, over my 25 years of practice, to observe judges who respected the people appearing before him/her and those who did not. I will be the kind of judge who will examine each case before me with the utmost seriousness and attention and will reach a fair and just outcome, regardless of who is before me or what the issue is.

I will treat all litigants with fairness, respect and compassion and expect to be held accountable for each of my actions and decisions.

I would be honored to be a Judge and uphold the public trust in a manner that your trust would require.
