Mayor; Borough of Bridgeport

This information is provided by the candidate

Dear Borough Residents,

As your candidate for mayor of Bridgeport, in the election on November 3, 2009, I would like to introduce myself to you. My experience and leadership will assist the residents of this great town of Bridgeport.

I was born and raised in this borough by Ted and Sophie (Nadwodny) Pruskowski, and continue to live in the same house that my parents built, along with my wife, Margie, and my children Jennifer and Jake. I am a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Bishop Kenrick High School. I also hold a degree in computer technology, which is the field that I currently work. I chose to remain in this borough to raise my children in this setting. I work hard each day to teach my children the values of hard work and community involvement. I have volunteered my time and services for many civic groups including the Knights of Columbus, Senior Citizens, Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company and the Bridgeport Community Fund. I am an active Board member of the Lafayette Ambulance and Rescue Squad and President of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Parish. One of my proudest accomplishments has been serving our youth as I have coached numerous sports teams during the past twenty years. I am a Board member of Bridgeport Little League and Upper Merion Youth Wrestling. I volunteer as coach for various sports with Region 21 CYO. I have also been a Bridgeport Council Member since 2002 and have served as President and, currently, Vice President. I received the Bridgeport Little League President's Award in 2008 for dedication and service to the Bridgeport Little League.

Bridgeport is a wonderful, small, but ever-expanding town, where everyone feels at home. From running into your neighbor at a local business establishment to meeting your children's friends at the Park, Bridgeport has that small town feel that most people dream about. The opportunity to help our neighbors by shoveling snow and assisting with home or vehicle improvements provides a strong sense of self acclaim. I am proud to call Bridgeport my home.

I would be most honored and appreciative of your support and vote in my campaign for the office of Mayor of the Borough of Bridgeport. With your support, I will endeavor to foster the lines of communication between you, the residents, Borough Council, and myself, as mayor. Our community will benefit from open communication and good ideas. Please know that as your Mayor, I will be here to support you through the continued development of our home town.

Sincerely,

Thaddeus (Ted) J. Pruskowski
