Candidate for
Supervisor; Township of Lower Providence

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a candidate for Lower Providence Township Supervisor. I am a lifelong resident of Lower Providence. My husband and I are raising our family here because we believe this is the best place for us to live and prosper. Caring deeply about our community, I want to be a positive contributor to our township and be your voice on the Board of Supervisors to promote efficient government, responsible growth, and fiscal responsibility.

Lower Providence is facing many challenges, such as land development, traffic congestion, and fiscal management. These challenges, when addressed properly, will lead to a better quality of life for our residents and to prosperity for our businesses.

Professionally, I am a licensed Landscape Architect. I have extensive experience in land planning and the landscape architecture field. In addition to my professional work, I have dedicated more than 20 years of my life to community service in our township. I began my volunteer work with the Lower Providence Volunteer Fire Company and the Lower Providence Community Center Ambulance and I am still an active volunteer with several other organizations in the township. Both my volunteer work and my professional experience have readied me for the position of Township Supervisor. The experience I have from my professional and volunteer work will bring a new perspective to the current issues facing our community.

My position on important issues:

  • TRAFFIC CONGESTION:
    - Make developers install traffic improvements at the time a development is built.
    - Work with the state and federal government to mitigate traffic congestion.
  • RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT:
    - Promote sound and comprehensive development.
  • SENSIBLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:
    - Be proactive and attract businesses that provide jobs and opportunities to residents.
  • IMPROVE TOWNSHIP SERVICES:
    - Insist the township be more user friendly and cooperate with all reasonable requests from residents.
  • TAXES:
    - Reevaluate spending and strive to decrease taxes.
